Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort has launched its latest guest engagement program, devotedly named, “THE TASTE OF NIRVANA”, initiated by the resort’s General Manager, Sylvain Pasdeloup.

The program is one of the resort’s initiatives to increase focus on its guest satisfaction, which has evolved and matured over the years, involving all the resort teams’ continuous support.

The Taste of Nirvana program was chosen due to it being a synonym of ‘paradise, heaven, Eden, bliss, blessedness, peace, serenity, tranquility, enlightenment’ and many more. It needs a full loop from the arrival to the departure for guests, to reach a sense akin to Nirvana.

This project stands on 3 (three) strong pillars:

The First pillar is the Warm Welcome, which covers the first impression. To surprise guests the resort implements different levels of “Line-Ups”. From the “Red line-up” gathering the ambassadors from Front Office wearing their red batik uniforms, to the “Excom line-up” the gathering of the executive committee and finally passing by the “Balinese line-up” or the “Full Hotel line-up”. Each of the “Line-Ups” serves its own category of guests and VIP or type of event.

The Second pillar is The Personalized Gifts, where guests will be given local crafts such as sarongs, wooden fans or chocolates for example. It allows them to bring something authentic back home and remember their magnifique stay at the resort

The Third pillar is The Balinese Culture. Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort developed their Front Office team and priest, Pak Mangku, to create a very special Balinese Culture Tour aiming at immersing guests in the local history, life and beliefs.

It is performed on a daily and complimentary basis and starts by dressing up the guests with the traditional attire and processing to the famous blessing. The experience continues in their majestic lobby, where the Sofitel brand’s French elegance meets the local and most ancient beliefs. This wise blend was thought around its two main elements that are the “Grand Heliacal Staircase” and the beautiful hand-carved “Balinese Circle of Life”.

After going through the explanation of each of them, guests are taken to the hotel temple, stopping by the Frangipani Trees to collect their sacred flowers, necessary for the prayer. Once at the temple, the Priest gives additional explanations of the religions in Bali and their different beliefs and practices.

The “offerings making workshop” then starts and follow all the indications on how to offer it once inside the sacred part of the temple. Later, for a small fee, guests are encouraged to continue and finish the experience by tasting the delicious Balinese traditional dishes made by our experienced chefs at Toya Beach Bar and Grill.
