February 25, 2019

For the second consecutive year, AccorHotels is excited to join the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival presented by Bank of Melbourne as Official Accommodation Partner for 2019.

AccorHotels is set to play an integral role in the internationally acclaimed festival hosting events and activations at several of its Melbourne hotel restaurants. Held from 8 to 24 March 2019, the festival promises to deliver a carefully curated celebration of food and wine, with a real focus on all things extraordinary.

The 2019 Melbourne Food & Wine Festival is celebrating the extraordinary, giving a nod to the exceptional food and wine experiences that are the hallmark of the Melbourne dining landscape and the out-of-the ordinary festival experiences.

Events and activations during the festival will take place across AccorHotels’ Melbourne restaurants, specifically at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins’ No.35 restaurant, Pullman Melbourne on the Park’s restaurant, The Cliveden Bar & Dining, Hotel Lindrum MGallery by Sofitel’s intimate restaurant, felt, and Novotel Melbourne Central’s newly opened, Pretty Boy Italian Steak House.

Sofitel Melbourne on Collins’ No.35 restaurant is set to delight, as it hosts Melbourne’s ‘Tallest Lunch’. Situated 35 floors above the ‘Paris End’ of Collins Street, No.35 is bringing back its ever-famous ‘Tallest Lunch’ on 8 March, from 12.30pm until 3.30pm. The delectable menu is inspired by the hotel’s support of the arts and uses a wide array of regionally sourced local ingredients. Priced at $140 per person, high-end gastronomers will be delighted with a welcome spritz, free-flowing beverages and world-class entertainment. To book, visit here.

Hotel Lindrum, MGallery by Sofitel is hosting a ‘Brilliantly British’ affair, as they celebrate 20 years and introduce new Head Chef, Matthew Simon Bentley, who has headed kitchens in London, Norway, The Netherlands and most recently at No.35 at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins. Chef Bentley will delight palettes as he creates a British inspired 6-course degustation menu, complemented by local ciders, ales and wines. The aptly named ‘Brilliantly British’ dinner will be held from 6.30pm to10pm on Thursday 14 March and is priced at $165 per adult, inclusive of the 6-course degustation menu and beverages for the duration. Pullman Melbourne on the Park’s Cliveden Bar & Dining restaurant is set to lift spirits come 9 March, as it entwines Melbourne’s favourite spirit into its coveted high tea, offering high-end foodies a gin-soaked afternoon tea from 2.30pm to 5pm. Recently refining the experience to bring guests a world-class, gin-splashed high tea, Executive Chef David Albert will lead guests on a gastronomical experience like no other. From mini bagels stuffed with Cliveden Gin cured salmon, to Negroni jam scones, served alongside thick cream sourced from the Yarra Valley, The Cliveden’s Gin-Soaked Afternoon Tea offers guests the perfect excuse to treat their taste buds, priced at just $89 per adult. Novotel Melbourne Central’s Pretty Boy Italian Steak House will delight guests with its ‘Gin Gin and Pasta Spin’ event, treating guests to a theatrical show in Little Lonsdale’s newest pasta precinct. Watch Executive Chef Michael Smith take diners on a nostalgic, from the heart journey, on all things pasta, whilst Brad from Little Lon Distilling Co mixes up some of the city’s best gin based beverages. This intimate collaboration between Chef and Distiller will have guests enjoying a 3-course lunch with beverages to match. The Gin Gin and Pasta Spin event will be offered over five days only, on 8, 9, 21, 22 and 23 March from 12pm to 3pm and is priced at $153 per person. Tickets include pasta making, a 3-course lunch, cocktails and curated wines to match. Guests can book tickets here.
