Eleven months on from the initial launch of ‘AccorBot’, Accor Australia’s integrated Facebook Chatbot, the Accor group last night took out the converted award for ‘Best Use of a Chatbot in Social Media’ at the 2019 Social Media Marketing Awards.
The social media night of nights was last night (15/08/2019) held at Sydney’s Cockle Bay Wharf, hosted by Social Media Marketing Institute CEO, Mireille Ryan, and was attended by over 200 of Australia’s most innovative social media marketers.
Accepting the award on behalf of Accor, was Nick Aldrich, Accor Pacific’s Social Media Executive, who said, “It’s extremely exciting to win this award, especially as we were up against so many incredible finalists. Winning this award is so much more than just another award win for the Accor group, it’s a great example of what can be achieved, when a business invests in new and innovative ways to enhance a guest’s digital experience. AccorBot has worked tirelessly to assist over 2,000 guests over the past eleven months, thus we’re incredibly proud to see AccorBot get the recognition that it deserves!”
AccorBot was designed to help the group’s 1.8 million Facebook fans across the Pacific (Australia, New Zealand, Fiji & French Polynesia), with everything from hotel reservations, customer service queries, city guide information and more.
AccorBot, created entirely in-house by Nick Aldrich, Accor Pacific’s Social Media Executive, has successfully assisted thousands of guests in the bot’s short eleven-month lifetime, truly transforming the way guests interact with the group on Facebook.
